Director of Finance

Summary:

The Director of Finance is a senior management position responsible for overseeing the financial operations and budgeting for the banking and financial services industry. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of finance principles, experience in financial management, and the ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to support the organization’s strategic goals.
• Manage the company’s financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to ensure accuracy and relevance.
• Maintain and oversee compliance with regulatory requirements, including SEC filings and financial reporting.
• Monitor and analyze financial results, providing recommendations to management for improvement and cost reduction opportunities.
• Lead annual budgeting and forecasting processes, including long-term forecasting and capital expenditure planning.
• Prepare and present financial reports to the Board of Directors and executive management, including financial statements, working capital analysis, and cash flow projections.
• Manage relationships with external parties, including banks, auditors, and tax advisors.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, lenders, and other financial institutions.
• Assess and identify risks in the company’s financial operations and develop strategies to mitigate them.
• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, standards, and practices to maintain accurate financial records.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics.
• At least 10 years of experience in finance, accounting, or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years in senior management roles.
• Strong understanding of financial analysis, planning, and forecasting processes.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with experience in managing cross-functional teams.
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements in the banking and financial services industry.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in financial reporting and analysis tools.
• Experience working in a public company environment or SEC reporting is preferred.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is preferred.
