We are looking for an Assistant Accountant with a high-level of attention to detail and accuracy to join our Retirement Living business.

About the Role:

Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for:

- Undertaking accounts processing (AP/AR) and bank recs for our two retirement villages (in Sydney and Melbourne)

- Submitting BAS, undertake annual budgets and coordinate audits with external auditors

- Preparing monthly and quarterly financial reporting

- Coordinating preparation of the group's tax return with our external tax advisor

- An ability to work 1 or 2 days a week from home

The attributes and skills we are looking for:

- Degree in Accounting, Finance or other similar field

- Experience dealing with multi-company entities and intercompany transactions would be beneficial.

- Excellent organisational and planning skills.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Advanced knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Office and competency in using computer-based applications.

- Ability to work autonomously and within a team.

- High level of organisational and time management skills with an impeccable attention to detail.
