    Technology – our technology team are the heart of the business. Our teams are predominantly made up of Software Developers, Testers, Engineers and Product Owners.

    Operations – our operations team drive client success, managing the day-to-day function of the investment accounts on our platform and are closest to our clients daily. Skill sets of this team include portfolio analyst, corporate actions and investment administration.

    Distribution – our distribution team focus on engaging new clients with the benefits our platform offers and support existing clients with getting the most functionality from our complex offering.

    Corporate Operations – keeping the business running, here sit our finance, risk, people and culture and project managers.

    What do you enjoy most about working for Praemium

    Hands down the people make Praemium one of the best places I have worked at. When you work with genuine, kind, generous, hard-working, and fun people it truly makes anything possible. You can weather the challenges and celebrate the wins with people you enjoy working with and spending time with.

    What opportunities have you had to develop your career

    Within 8 months of starting as a Priority Support Consultant in the Client Services team I was offered the opportunity to become a Client Experience Associate in one of the Key Client Pods.

    This meant being entrusted with offering excellent high-level service to two key clients. This has opened me up to working closely with 3 other colleagues in developing close relationships with key clients and learning how to deal with high level challenges. I have loved this experience and have been learning a lot about high level relationship management.

    I have also been offered a development opportunity to do a Train the Trainer session of our flagship product Spectrum which our Training and Relationship Managers have undertaken. It will be valuable for me to go through the same training as our Training and Relationship Manager’s to help further deepen my product knowledge and presentation skills.

    All in all, Praemium is a rapidly evolving and growing company that has many exciting opportunities for anyone with the right mindset who is interested in growing and developing further.

    Shortlisting and Interviewing

    Shortlisting

    • We’ll assess your application against the job criteria. If your application progresses to the next stage one of our Talent Acquisition Partners will call you to discuss your alignment to the role. We usually have our opportunities advertised for four weeks, so depending on when you apply, it may take a few weeks before you hear anything, so please don’t be discouraged.

    Interviewing

    • Most of our interviews are behavioural (also known as competency) style. We may also include a presentation topic or a technical question or two that are relevant to the specific role. But, we’ll let you know exactly what’s required and we’ll factor in time for you to prepare.
    • Typically, we have a two round interview process. The first interview is a virtual interview with the hiring manager and our talent team and the second interview is face to face in our offices with the hiring manager and another member of the broader team.

    Offer and Background checks

    • When receiving an offer from Praemium, we’ll call and talk you through the salary and fantastic benefits on offer.
    • We’ll then need to complete a few background checks. It’s part of our commitment to managing risk, being one of Australia’s largest custody businesses. This is a mandatory component of employment with the Praemium, so it’s important you submit your background checks as soon as you receive the verbal offer of employment. The checks include probity checks, police check, work rights check and employment checks.
    • After background checks are complete, we’ll then share the full written contract for signature!
    • We’ll keep in touch prior to your start date and will be busy preparing for your arrival and setting you up for success in the role!
