Malaysia’s First Independent Power Utility. NUR Power Sdn. Bhd. is a private limited company that specializes in the generation, transmission, distribution, and retail of electricity power in Malaysia. The company is Malaysia’s first and only Independent Power Utility to be granted exclusive rights to sell electricity in KHTP. NUR Power builds, owns, operates, and maintains a 220 MW gas-fired, combined- cycle gas turbine plant in KHTP. Located within an area of about 115 acres, the power plant first started its operations in 2006 as the exclusive provider of electricity to the entire KHTP’s industrial and commercial customers and residents.
Round-The-Clock Commitment
Our round-the-clock commitment provides efficient and quality services to the entire spectrum of customer experience from registration, connection and up to customer service. We regularly engage with all our customers to ensure their business needs are delivered satisfactorily. NUR Power has conducted a CSS (Consumer Satisfaction Survey) with international research company Ipsos in 2017, as a measure of our service quality. NUR Power achieved an overall customer satisfaction index of 82, which is at par with other international power utilities’ performances.

The company will focus on efforts to increase RE supply whilst continuing to ensure high power quality and reliability in KHTP as well as exploring opportunities in digital technology, by strategically optimizing its fibre optic network assets.
