Description

Summary:

The Events & Accommodations Coordinator plays a vital role in our business by ensuring the seamless planning and execution of events and accommodation arrangements. Based between Ohau & Manakau this permanent, full-time position requires a detail-oriented individual who can manage multiple tasks while providing exceptional service to clients and stakeholders. The coordinator will contribute to enhancing the overall guest experience, thereby supporting the growth and reputation of our organisation. This role will require you to be on site during events over the weekend and available to clients to contact after hours.

What you’ll do:

  • Plan, organise, and coordinate events, including conferences, workshops, and social gatherings.
  • Manage accommodation bookings and liaise with hotels and service providers to ensure quality and availability.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, suppliers, and clients to facilitate successful event execution.
  • Prepare budgets and monitor expenses to ensure events are delivered within financial constraints.
  • Assist in marketing and promoting events through various channels to maximise attendance and engagement.
  • Conduct post-event evaluations to gather feedback and improve future events.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during events and accommodation arrangements.
  • Provide administrative support, including scheduling meetings, preparing reports, and maintaining records.

What you’ll bring

  • Qualification in Event Management, Hospitality, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in event coordination or a similar role within the travel and tourism industry.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with clients and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen attention to detail.
