Description

Waitaki District Council invites expressions of interest from members of the public interested in serving as a company director on the council-owned company Whitestone Contracting Ltd. This is a paid position.

We are looking for applicants with excellent business and governance skills, ideally in the area(s) of finance, infrastructure, health and safety and/or legal. Skills and experience related to the Waitaki infrastructure sector would be beneficial.

Directorship appointments are considered confidentially by a recruitment panel that includes the mayor, deputy mayor and council chief executive, which will submit recommendations to the full council. Appointment decisions will be made by the full council, acting as sole shareholder of the company.
