Wellington Sexual Health Service is seeking an experienced and motivated Registered Nurse to join our specialist multidisciplinary team.
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a service focused on delivering accessible, high-quality sexual health care across the Wellington region. Over the next year, we will be strengthening engagement with priority populations, particularly Māori, Pacific and Takatāpui communities, and improving equitable access to care.
About the role
As a Sexual Health Nurse, you will provide assessment, treatment, education and support for people accessing specialist sexual health services. You will work collaboratively with nurses, doctors, healthcare assistants and community partners to deliver culturally safe, patient-centred care and contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives. The successful applicant will either be an authorised Registered Nurse Prescriber in Community Health or be willing to work towards prescribing authorisation. This includes completing the Health New Zealand Capital, Coast and Hutt Valley PDRP Registered Nurse Prescribing in Community Health recertification pathway, maintaining the Tū Ora Compass Health PDRP, and completing the required supervised practice and competency assessments.
About you
You will:

Why join us?
We offer:
- A supportive and experienced specialist team.
- Opportunities for professional development and advanced nursing practice.
- Support to achieve Registered Nurse Prescribing authorisation.
- The opportunity to make a meaningful difference to sexual health outcomes across our communities.
