Description

Summary:

The Support Equipment Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of manufacturing equipment in our Henderson facility. This position is vital for maintaining production quality and minimising downtime, thereby contributing to the overall success of our manufacturing processes. The technician will work closely with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues, ensuring that all machinery operates at optimal performance levels.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular maintenance and inspections on manufacturing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, implementing effective solutions in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and performance.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
  • Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment as required.
  • Provide training and support to production staff on equipment operation and safety procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.

Qualifications:

  • Relevant technical qualification in engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a technician in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Familiarity with health and safety regulations in a manufacturing setting.
