Landscape Team Leader – Otago

Are you an experienced Landscape Team Leader, Foreman, or skilled landscaper ready to take the next step in your career? We’re looking for a motivated Landscape Team Leader to join our Otago team and lead the delivery of high-quality landscape construction projects across the region.

Based in Central Otago, this hands-on leadership role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of commercial and residential landscape projects while leading a small team and helping grow our presence throughout the region. The role combines site leadership, project coordination, client interaction, and practical landscape construction work.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading and supervising landscape construction crews on-site
• Planning daily workloads and coordinating resources to keep projects running efficiently
• Delivering high-quality landscape projects including:
• Timber construction
• Paving and masonry
• Concrete works
• Soft landscaping and planting
• Excavation and drainage
• Retaining structures and outdoor spaces
• Liaising with clients, suppliers, and project stakeholders
• Promoting and maintaining a strong health and safety culture
• Identifying opportunities for additional works and contributing to business growth
• Mentoring and developing team members
• Ensuring company vehicles, tools, and machinery are operated and maintained to a high standard.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in landscape construction, civil landscaping, or outdoor construction
• Previous experience leading crews or supervising projects
• Strong practical skills across landscape construction methods
• Ability to motivate, organise, and lead a team
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills
• Strong understanding of health and safety requirements
• Full Class 1 Driver Licence
• Site Safe, First Aid, GrowSafe, WTR, or Class 2 Licence are advantageous
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and commitment to quality workmanship
