We’re seeking a skilled and forward-thinking professional to lead the administration and continuous improvement of our digital platforms, data systems, and archival repositories. This role sits at the intersection of technology, information management, mātauranga, and organisational capability, ensuring our systems are secure, accessible, culturally aligned, and fit for purpose.

Ngā whakamahuki mō tēnei tūranga | About the role

This role is responsible for strengthening Ngāti Kuia’s digital capability and information systems through:

• Managing and improving digital platforms including website, intranet, membership, communications, and archive systems.
• Enabling secure, accessible and efficient management of organisational data and information.
• Developing dashboards, reporting tools and insights that support strategic and operational decision-making.
• Administering digital archives and knowledge systems that preserve mātauranga, taonga records, reo and tikanga resources.
• Supporting digital transformation through system integration, workflow improvements and automation.
• Maintaining digital governance, privacy, security and information management standards.
• Building digital confidence across the organisation through training, guidance and user support.
• Partnering with kaimahi, vendors and external providers to ensure systems remain reliable, effective and future-focused.

You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring Ngāti Kuia has the systems, insights and knowledge infrastructure needed to support whānau, strengthen services, and protect our collective mātauranga.

Essential

• Experience administering digital platforms, information systems, databases, CRM platforms, or technology solutions.
• Knowledge of data management, analytics, reporting and dashboard development.
• Experience with records management, digital archives, information management, or knowledge systems.
• Understanding of privacy, information security, digital governance and data protection practices.
• Ability to translate business and operational needs into practical technology solutions.
• Experience improving systems, processes and workflows.
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and relationship-building skills.
• Experience providing training and support to technical and non-technical users.
• Excellent organisational and project coordination skills.

Desirable

• Qualification in Information Technology, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Records Management, Digital Technologies or a related field.
• Experience working with Microsoft 365 environments, Power BI, CRM systems, automation tools or digital transformation projects.
• Knowledge of Māori data sovereignty principles and tikanga-based information governance.
• Experience within iwi, Māori organisations, community organisations, or public sector environments.
• Te Reo Māori capability.
• Experience managing digital archives, metadata standards, or preservation systems.
