Description

About SYOS

At SYOS, we’re building the next generation of autonomous vehicles across air, land and sea.

We’re looking for an experienced Electrical / Avionics Technician with a strong aviation background, ideally with helicopter experience, to join our team and help build, integrate and flight-test our autonomous aircraft.

About the role:

This is a hands-on role working closely with our engineering and flight test teams. You’ll be responsible for preparing aircraft for flight, maintaining and integrating electrical and avionics systems, and troubleshooting issues in both the workshop and field.

What You’ll Do:

  • Install, integrate, test and maintain aircraft electrical and avionics systems.
  • Prepare aircraft for flight trials, including pre- and post-flight inspections.
  • Troubleshoot and fault-find electrical, avionics and aircraft systems.
  • Support flight-line operations and field-based repairs.
  • Assist with wiring, harnesses, connectors, sensors, communications and flight-control systems.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Support aircraft modifications, fabrication and integration.
  • Work closely with engineers, pilots and flight test teams.
  • Follow all safety and quality standards.

What You’ll Bring:

  • 5+ years’ experience in aircraft electrical, avionics, maintenance or manufacturing.
  • Strong aviation experience as an Electrical or Avionics Technician.
  • Helicopter experience highly desirable.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with aircraft wiring, electrical systems and avionics integration.
  • Flight test or field operations experience is an advantage.
  • Hands-on fabrication and modification skills.
  • Comfortable working in remote locations and adapting to changing test schedules.
  • A practical, team-focused approach and strong attention to detail.

Why SYOS?

Join a team developing next-generation autonomous aircraft and work alongside experienced engineers, pilots and technical specialists.

You’ll have the opportunity to work hands-on across build, integration, testing and deployment, with no two days the same.

If you’re ready to take your aviation skills into the world of autonomous technology, we’d love to hear from you.

Build it. Test it. Deploy it.
