Description

Help build the autonomous systems shaping the future.

At SYOS Aerospace, we’re pushing the boundaries of autonomous technology, developing next-generation uncrewed systems across air, land and sea.

Behind every successful prototype, flight test and customer delivery is a well-run supply chain. We’re looking for an Inventory & Purchasing Coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced engineering environment and takes pride in ensuring our teams have the right parts, materials and equipment exactly when they’re needed.

If you’re highly organised, proactive and enjoy being at the centre of engineering operations, this is an opportunity to make a real impact in a company developing world-class autonomous systems.

What You’ll Do:

Working alongside our engineering and manufacturing teams, you’ll help keep development, production and testing moving by:

  • Procuring electronic components, hardware, raw materials, workshop equipment and consumables.
  • Managing purchasing transactions, company credit card reconciliations and supplier invoices.
  • Coordinating international shipments and managing NZ Customs clearance.
  • Receiving, inspecting and processing incoming goods.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records, conducting stock takes and ensuring critical components remain available.
  • Organising domestic and international freight for customer deliveries, testing activities and production requirements.
  • Collecting materials from local suppliers when required.
  • Supporting operational activities, including preparing equipment for field testing and other hands-on activities.

What You’ll Bring:

You’ll be someone who enjoys working behind the scenes to enable high-performing engineering teams. You’re organised, dependable and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

You’ll bring:

  • Experience in purchasing, inventory, logistics, stores or supply chain within a manufacturing, workshop or technical environment.
  • Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • The ability to prioritise competing demands while maintaining accuracy.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach and willingness to support a wide range of operational activities.
  • A Full New Zealand Class 1 Driver Licence.

Bonus Points

You’ll stand out if you have experience with:

  • Inventory management methodologies such as Kanban, Min/Max or ERP/MRP systems.
  • Importing goods and coordinating international freight.
  • Supporting engineering, aerospace, robotics or advanced manufacturing environments.

Why SYOS?

At SYOS, you’ll work alongside talented engineers developing innovative autonomous technologies that solve real-world challenges. Every purchase, shipment and component you manage plays a vital role in keeping projects moving from concept through to production.

You’ll enjoy:

  • Working with a fast-growing company at the forefront of aerospace, robotics and autonomous systems.
  • A collaborative, agile culture where every role makes a meaningful contribution.
  • Exposure to advanced engineering programmes from prototype through to production.
  • Opportunities to develop your career as SYOS continues to grow globally.

If you’re motivated by precision, enjoy solving logistical challenges and want to play a key role in supporting innovative engineering, we’d love to hear from you.
