SUNDAYS Senior Chef de Partie

SUNDAYS is a warm and welcoming neighbourhood restaurant set inside a beautifully restored 1933 church, serving Italian-inspired food (we ❤️ pizza), seasonal shared plates, handcrafted cocktails and genuine hospitality in Country Lane, Queenstown. We’re known for our community vibe, our commitment to “simple done well”, and a team culture grounded in collaboration, kai-zen (continuous improvement), and having a damn good time doing what we do.

We’re looking for a Senior Chef de Partie to join our close-knit kitchen team. This role is perfect for someone who is confident across multiple sections, loves working with great ingredients, and thrives in a fast-paced, quality-driven kitchen. Experience with pizza and wood-fire cooking is a bonus!

What we’re looking for:

• At least 2 years of relevant CDP experience in a quality kitchen
• A genuine passion for Italian food and flavour
• Confidence running a section and supporting smooth service across the line
• High standards for consistency, presentation, and food safety
• A calm, positive presence — especially when service gets busy
• A team player who supports others and contributes to a positive kitchen culture
• Available for full-time hours
• Must have the right to work in NZ – we are not offering visa sponsorship at this stage
