- Proven experience managing end-to-end payroll processing in a New Zealand environment.
- Strong knowledge of payroll legislation and compliance (PAYE, KiwiSaver, leave entitlements, statutory requirements).
- Sound understanding of payroll systems, data accuracy, reconciliations, and reporting.

About the role
Are you an experienced payroll professional who takes pride in accurate, compliant, and timely payroll delivery?
We’re looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our People & Capability team. In this role, you’ll take ownership of end-to-end payroll processing, payroll compliance, reporting, and payroll-related employee queries, with some limited HR administration support as and when required.
What you’ll be doing
- Managing wages and salaried payrolls accurately and on time
- Ensuring payroll compliance, including PAYE, KiwiSaver, leave entitlements, and other statutory requirements
- Maintaining accurate payroll records, employee data, and related system information
- Producing payroll reports and insights to support leaders and decision-making
- Contributing to continuous improvement of payroll processes, systems, and controls
- Processing new starters, employee changes, and final pays
- Responding to payroll and employee benefit enquiries
- Providing limited HR administration support, such as onboarding documentation and employee lifecycle updates
