Smart Environmental is on the lookout for a Permanent Part-Time Driver to join our supportive team in Feilding.

Recently acquired by Blue Planet our mission is to divert waste from landfill, and with a large fleet of collection vehicles and line haul operations, we are committed to driving sustainability for the communities and businesses we serve.

About the Role:

Contract Type: Permanent Part Time

Days and Hours: Tuesday – Friday, minimum 27 hours per week.

Key responsibilities:

• Logging information on Eroad/Logbook
• Trained to safely operate one of our range of vehicles
• Complete daily pre-start and post-start vehicle inspections and report any maintenance requirements.
• Adhere to all Health & Safety policies, procedures, and environmental standards.
• Maintain a high level of awareness around public safety, traffic management, and hazard identification while operating in residential and commercial areas.

Skills and experience:

• Holds a NZ Class 4 driver’s licence or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 year’s experience operating class sideload vehicles
• Wheels Tracks and Rollers are advantageous
• Experience in waste collection
• Forklift Endorsement is advantageous
• Able to work flexible hours
• Confident with technology as you will be required to use a phone
