Driver – Class 2

Smart Environmental, is a leader in commercial recycling and waste collections. We work on behalf of local councils, businesses, and communities across New Zealand.

 Acquired by Blue Planet our mission is to divert waste from landfill, and with a large fleet of collection vehicles and line haul operations, we are committed to driving sustainability for the communities and businesses we serve.

We have an opportunity for you to join our team. If you are a competent Class 2 driver, we want to hear from you. This is a permanent position working 40 hours per week across 5 days based in Rotorua.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate vehicles safely
• Deliver exceptional customer service and adhere to collection schedules.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks
• Maintain logs (Eroad/Logbook).

What We’re Looking For:

• NZ Class 2 driver’s licence holder (experience with rearload collection vehicles is a plus, but we provide full training).
• Confident with using technology (phone/ipad).
• Good level of physical fitness
• Comfortable with working outdoors in all types of weather
