Role Purpose

We are looking for a full time Panel Beater to join our team.

Your focus will be to ensure consistent output of repairs that meet expectations of quality and timeframe.

The ideal candidate is a reliable, organized, accountable, self-motivated, solutions-focused individual, who can comply with instructions in written, verbal, and schedule form.

A working knowledge of standard methods, practices, equipment and materials used in automotive panel beating is a must.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Repair damage to metal, fiberglass and plastic body work on vehicle panels using specialized tools and techniques

Perform plastic welding to repair or replace damaged plastic components

Remove and replace parts to access repairs, or to allow for painting

Replace badly damaged sections with new or second-hand panels

Align and reshape damaged panels and frames

Replace sections of vehicles and weld in replacements

Filling depressions with plastic filer, and filing, grinding and sanding repaired surfaces

Cutting and joining replacement sections using welding equipment

Fitting repaired or replacement panels on vehicles and refitting body hardware (sensors, door locks, etc.)

Inspect vehicles to assess damage and determine the best repair methods

Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of repairs

Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety and quality standards

Our Ideal Candidate

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Panel beating

Relevant Trade Qualification, preferably NZ (or the ability to prove competency and experience)

Right attitude

Clean and full NZ driver licence

Our Offer

Location: South Auckland

Contract Type: Waged, Full Time, Permanent

Work Hours: 8am-4.30pm (Monday to Friday)

Remuneration: $35-38 per hour (gross)
