Summary:
We are seeking an outgoing, confident, and highly motivated Customer Service Representative to join our small but high performing Christchurch based team. This is a full time, permanent position (40 hours per week), Monday to Friday, working within our operating hours of 7:30am–5:00pm.
This is a proactive customer engagement role with a split workload which will involve outbound calling, including warm calls, follow ups, re-engagement campaigns, customer retention activity, and occasional cold calling. You’ll help drive our outbound outreach initiatives to build stronger customer connections and deepen our service offering.
You will often be the first voice our existing and potential customers hear, so the ability to quickly build rapport, ask great questions, and create positive customer experiences is essential.
Alongside outbound engagement, you will also support inbound customer needs including responding to enquiries, administering fuel card applications, assisting with account setup, placing fuel orders, and general customer service and administrative tasks. As we continue to evolve, this role plays a key part in shaping our proactive customer engagement approach. Additionally, there may be the potential for occasional on-call weekend work.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct outbound engagement calls (warm and cold) to existing and potential customers.
- Support outbound campaigns related to retention, product awareness, and customer follow-up.
- Build strong rapport and maintain positive customer relationships.
- Address customer queries via phone and email.
- Process fuel card applications and assist with new account setups.
- Enter and update customer information in internal systems.
- Assist customers with general enquiries and fuel ordering.
- Provide administrative support across the Customer Service team.
The Successful Applicant Will Have:
- Experience in a phone‑based customer service role or similar environment.
- Confident outbound calling skills; cold calling experience highly advantageous.
- A natural curiosity with the ability to establish rapport quickly.
- Sales interest or experience (advantageous, not required).
- A willingness to grow toward a hybrid customer service/sales skillset over time.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Teams, Outlook) and customer service databases.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to show empathy while balancing the needs of the business.
- Self‑motivation, resilience, and enthusiasm for customer engagement.

- Eligibility to work in New Zealand (NZ Residency or valid Work Visa).
