Raw Essentials has been making both Bone Broth for pets and Human-grade broth for a

number of years with a steady increase in demand.

We’re looking for a passionate person – who lives our values of being friendly, curious, responsive and knowledgeable and essential – to manage the Production and distribution of both

human and pet-grade bone broth, alongside management of the team who look after the

picking and packing of our range of treats and pet accessories out of our manufacturing

plant based in Mangere, Auckland.

About our role

We are looking for a hard-working and reliable Production and Distribution Team Leader to

lead our small team of Broth and Treat packers at our Ascot Road facility. This role is full-

time, approximately 40 hours per week Monday to Friday, with a 6.00am start. If you enjoy

You will be responsible for:

• Managing, preparing and scheduling all aspects of broth production, including supervising staff and machine operation during production and filling
• Monitoring freezers and stock control
• Dispatching and invoicing of all Broth orders both in-house and to our wholesale
• customers
• Management and compliance with food control plans (MPI) and maintaining a safe, clean work environment, including general kitchen duties
• Overseeing the team responsible for for packing and distribution of treats,
• supplements and other over-the-counter products

 

To be successful, you will:

• Be hardworking, reliable, and adaptable, working collaboratively with managers, colleagues, direct reports and support teams
• Have previous experience within a busy food manufacturing environment
• Be fully conversant with all pick packing processes
• Be a strong, efficient communicator with good interpersonal skills
• Have the ability to prioritise effectively and follow processes and procedures accurately
• Be able to motivate and bring out the best in your staff
• Have a working knowledge of FCP and MPI requirements
• Be fully conversant with computer systems as this role includes use of our Inventory Management system or a willingness to learn (Cin7 & Airtable)
• Be comfortable operating and troubleshooting food production equipment
• Have good attention to detail
