Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking experienced Diesel Mechanics who have exceptional knowledge in repair and maintenance of truck and trailer units to join our team in Palmerston North. To ensure our standards remain high, the successful candidate will: -Hold a relevant qualification or at least 2 years’ experience in this role or similar – Have the ability to carrying out a full range of repairs, maintenance and servicing on any fleet vehicle including trucks, trailers, swing lifts, forklifts, utility vehicles and cars as directed. – Carry out compliance activities for COF and WOF for fleet vehicles (as directed). – Perform scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications, and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations. – Be available for callouts and breakdowns to ensure our fleet is always on the move! – Carry out repairs and maintenance of the following: brake systems, suspension systems, electrical systems, clutches, and body damage. – Reassemble, test & adjust engines, and parts after being repaired for proper performance. – Act in accordance with all company standards, legislative and manufacturer requirements at all times.
