Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Receptionist to join our legal firm which has three locations throughout Christchurch. This is a permanent, full-time position. The Receptionist will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our front desk, providing exceptional customer service to clients and visitors while supporting our legal team with administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome clients and visitors in a professional manner
  • Answer and direct phone calls to the appropriate personnel
  • Manage the scheduling of appointments and meetings for legal staff
  • Maintain a tidy and organised reception area
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
  • Assist with administrative tasks, including filing and data entry
  • Provide information to clients regarding services offered by the firm
  • Ensure confidentiality and security of client information
  • Take client payments

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a customer service or administrative role is preferred but not essential
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook)
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • A professional appearance and demeanour
  • A current driver’s licence
