Over the years, Te Tohu o Te Ora o Ngāti Awa (otherwise known as Ngāti Awa Social & Health Services) has evolved into a leading iwi provider of health, social, early childcare, employment and more recently, Kāinga Māori development services.

We are seeking a reliable and caring Domestic Support person to join our team at Te Waipuna Ariki o Matangireia Puna Reo, Monday to Friday. This is a varied, hands-on role where you’ll contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of our centre and support the wellbeing of our tamariki.

He Ara Hou – The Opportunity

As our Domestic Support person, you’ll play an important role in the day-to-day operation of our Puna Reo. From preparing healthy meals and maintaining a clean environment, to safely transporting tamariki, your contribution will help ensure our tamariki are cared for in a warm and welcoming space.

What Your Day Could Look Like:

  • Preparing nutritious meals and snacks for tamariki.
  • Maintaining a clean, hygienic, and well-presented environment.
  • Safely transporting tamariki to and from the centre using our fleet of vans.

  • Supporting laundry and general domestic duties.
  • Contributing to a positive and supportive team environment.

You bring a positive and caring attitude, a strong work ethic, and a genuine willingness to support others. You enjoy working around tamariki, and are happy to lend a hand wherever needed.

  • An appreciation of Te Ao Māori and a commitment to supporting our kaupapa.
