If you’re the person people call when something mechanical needs fixing, we’d like to hear from you. We need a capable all-rounder who enjoys machinery, engineering and finding practical solutions. You’ll work on a huge variety of agricultural equipment, both in the workshop and out on farm.
The role:
We are currently recruiting for a versatile, clever agricultural machinery engineer to join our great team in our Matamata branch. (Formerly Matamata Ag centre)
We are looking for someone with passion for the agricultural industry who has strong general engineering skills and an excellent mechanical ability with machinery. You will be able to provide efficient repair solutions by thinking outside the square and using clever ingenuity.
In this role you will carry out all servicing and maintenance to a large range of agricultural implements & also carry out hydraulic hose repairs in a range of applications.
You will be providing assembly, service and repair support to our own imported major brands such as Seko mixer equipment, K2 Muck Spreaders & also some of our more specialist products like Monosem precision planters & Strebel Strip Tills. However if variety is your thing, we have plenty of it as being part of a rural community means we are required to turn our hand to all manner of jobs on different Ag implements.
The role will involve both workshop and on-site field service work and could also include assisting with the set-up of new machinery to clients.
The ideal applicant will have a passion for learning & keen to tackle anything. They are a name and face for the service side of our business and will have the opportunity to form trusting relationships with our farming clients.
Our Matamata branch is relatively new to our network and is a fantastic close knit team. This is a unique opportunity and would suit an energetic person who doesn’t mind being a solo Technician at times, with the advantage of being able to set up your workshop to suit yourself as if it were your own. You will be instrumental in helping to continue to grow this branch. It will be very rewarding as being the Technical name and face to the branch , you will form lasting client relationships.
This role could have flexibility with work days/hours & could even suit someone wanting a 4 day week.
