Packing Operator

Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Packing Operator to join our team in Tauriko, NZ. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient packing of Kiwi fruits, maintaining quality standards, and contributing to the overall success of our logistics and supply chain operations. This on-site position requires physical fitness and attention to detail to identify and remove any defective fruits, ensuring only the best products reach our customers.

Responsibilities:

• Pack Kiwi fruits into boxes according to company standards and specifications.
• Inspect fruits for quality, identifying and removing any defective items.
• Ensure boxes are securely closed and labelled correctly.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area to promote safety and efficiency.
• Assist in inventory management by tracking packed items and reporting discrepancies.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily packing targets and deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a packing or warehouse role is preferred.
• Ability to identify quality issues in fruits and other produce.
• Physically fit and able to lift heavy boxes as required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work various shifts as needed.
