What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting operations: assist with the day-to-day running of our land-based hatchery and Ohau broodstock raft.
  • Assisting with innovation: participate in research, breeding and fish development programs.
  • Maintaining fish welfare: help ensure the highest standards of fish health, biosecurity, environmental management, and aquaculture practices.
  • Reporting: record feed, fish health, stocks, water quality, and additional metrics.

What you’ll bring

  • Licence and work eligibility: full NZ driver’s licence and the legal right to work in NZ.
  • Skills and mindset: willingness to learn, team player, and literacy/numeracy skills.
  • Experience: previous aquaculture experience is desirable, but not essential.
  • Qualifications: Fish Farming level 3 or tertiary qualification, and Dangerous Goods – Class D are a bonus.
