Makita New Zealand Ltd, a market leader in power tools, outdoor power equipment, and accessories, is offering an exciting opportunity for a driven and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a Business Development Manager based in the Wellington region. This role includes travel throughout the Wellington and surrounding areas as required.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Reporting to the BDM Regional Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Promoting the Makita brand to end users.
  • Proactively hunting for new business opportunities within targeted industries.
  • Building strong relationships with end users to support product research and sales.
  • Identifying market demands and new product opportunities.
  • Conducting live product demonstrations to showcase Makita’s industry-leading products.
  • Supporting the retail sales team at trade shows, promotional events, and training sessions.
  • Achieving and exceeding sales targets through strategic business development.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key commercial customers across the Wellington region.
