About the role

As a Survey Technician at Landpro based in Cromwell or Wanaka, Otago Region, you will play a crucial role in supporting our surveying projects. Your expertise will contribute to the accurate collection and analysis of data, ensuring that our clients receive high-quality service and reliable information. The role involves both field and office-based work. This permanent, full-time position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your skills will be valued and developed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation and execution of surveying projects, including fieldwork and data collection.
  • Utilise surveying equipment and software to gather accurate measurements and data.
  • Analyse survey data and prepare detailed reports for clients and project managers.
  • Collaborate with senior surveyors and other team members to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Maintain and calibrate surveying instruments to ensure precision and reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during all surveying activities.

About you

  • Associate degree in surveying or recognised tertiary qualification in survey or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a surveying role, preferably within a consultancy environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Proficiency in using surveying software and equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
  • A valid NZ driver’s license
  • Authorisation to work in NZ
