We’re growing and looking for a switched-on Business Development Manager for our Commercial
channel that can help us take things to the next level.

Reporting to the National Business Manager Commercial Sales, you’ll be responsible for leading multi-level customer relationships and driving growth across commercial channels in the North Island including:
- Open Space Management
- Facilities Management
- Roadside Vegetation Control
- Biosecurity
- Forestry & Aerial Applications
You’ll manage key accounts, maximise sales within existing product ranges, and identify new opportunities across targeted channels. You’ll also contribute to strategic planning, including customer plans, product development initiatives and revenue growth, while ensuring alignment across commercial channels.
This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives on autonomy, builds strong in-field and head office relationships and takes ownership of delivering measurable commercial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive commercial growth across the North Island through execution of channel strategies and new business development
- Build and manage strong, multi-level relationships with key customers and stakeholders
- Own customer planning – including annual reviews, performance tracking and long-term growth plans
- Provide in-field technical support, product training, and best practice guidance
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and identify new opportunities
- Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver customer outcomes and continuous improvement
What you’ll bring with you
- You’re a commercially savvy, relationship-driven BDM who thrives in technical sales environments and knows how to turn strategy into results.
- Proven experience in agri-chemical, biosecurity or related industries
- Strong track record in business development, account growth and strategic planning
- Confident communicator of technical products, including training and in-field support
- Ability to build and influence relationships at all levels
- Commercially astute with strong analytical, negotiation and decision-making skills
- Self-driven, organised, and comfortable working autonomously
