JetX Exterior Cleaning Technician

JetX, part of JK Building Wash, is a trusted name in exterior cleaning across Christchurch and Canterbury. We provide specialist exterior cleaning services across commercial, rural and residential sites, including building washing, gutter cleaning, roof treatments, deck and fence cleaning, driveway restoration, steam cleaning and larger commercial projects.

The Role

We are looking for a physically fit, safety-conscious and self-motivated Technician to join our Christchurch team.

This is a hands-on outdoor role delivering high-quality waterblasting and exterior cleaning across a variety of sites. A key part of the role is working at heights, including on ladders, elevated work platforms and roofs. Applicants must be genuinely comfortable working at heights regularly.

Experience is helpful but not essential. If you have a strong work ethic, a great attitude, take pride in doing a job well and are keen to learn, we’d like to hear from you.

In this role you will:

• Waterblast and clean exterior surfaces across residential and commercial sites
• Complete steam cleaning, treatment applications and restoration cleaning
• Set up, pack down and maintain equipment
• Regularly work at heights using ladders, EWPs and other height-access equipment
• Follow safe work practices and site-specific safety requirements
• Deliver great customer service and take pride in the detail and quality of every job
• Work occasional early mornings, evenings and weekends when required

What we’re looking for:

• Physically fit, injury-free and capable of strenuous outdoor work
• Genuinely comfortable working at heights
• Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
• A strong commitment to working safely
• Mechanical aptitude and confidence operating equipment
• Reliable, positive and able to work well as part of a team
• Permanent, unrestricted right to work in New Zealand
• Current full, clean New Zealand driver’s licence
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug test and Ministry of Justice check

Ideal, but not essential:

• Construction or building industry experience
• Site Safe Passport
• EWP Operator certification
• Advanced height safety training
• Exterior cleaning or waterblasting experience
