Area Manager

Summary:

The Area Manager will oversee operations within the building and construction sector across New Zealand, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence and fostering strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, contributing to the overall success and growth of the organisation.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and coordinate multiple construction projects within the designated area.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and industry standards.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Monitor project progress and performance, providing regular updates to senior management.
• Implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
• Conduct site visits to assess project status and address any issues that arise.
• Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a managerial role within the building and construction industry.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, project management methodologies, and relevant regulations.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
