Following substantial growth in our South Island Project Management team, we’re investing further in our leadership capability to support the next exciting phase of our journey.

 

We’re seeking an experienced Regional Manager – Project Management to join our Christchurch office in a pivotal senior leadership role. This newly created position has been established to strengthen our existing leadership team, build capability across the region, and drive continued growth through exceptional client relationships, strategic business development, and high-performing project delivery.

The Opportunity

Reporting to the National Manager – Project Management, you’ll be responsible for the overall success of our South Island Project Management business.

 

This is much more than an operational leadership role. You’ll help shape strategy, identify opportunities, build trusted client relationships, and grow our South Island market presence while ensuring exceptional project delivery across a diverse portfolio.

 

You’ll work alongside an experienced South Island leadership team that values collaboration, innovation and empowering people to succeed.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be responsible for:

  • Leading and developing a high-performing team of Project Directors and Project Managers.
  • Driving business development and identifying new opportunities across the Auckland market.
  • Building strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, consultants and industry partners.
  • Growing revenue and profitability while ensuring sustainable regional performance.
  • Providing strategic oversight across major and complex projects.
  • Coaching, mentoring and developing future leaders.
  • Managing regional performance, utilisation, resourcing and commercial outcomes.
  • Representing Inovo at industry events and strengthening our market presence.
  • Contributing to the national growth strategy and wider leadership team.

 

About You

You’ll be an experienced leader with a proven ability to grow businesses as well as people.

You’ll bring:

  • Significant experience leading project management teams within consultancy across various disciplines within engineering, construction and/or infrastructure.
  • A strong track record in business development, client relationship management and winning work.
  • Commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, profitability and business performance.
  • Proven exceptional leadership, coaching and people management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to translate vision into action.
  • A passion for building long-term client partnerships and developing high-performing teams.
