About You

We are looking for a senior DevOps engineer to lead our DevOps team.  You’re an accomplished DevOps engineer who is ready to take the next step in your career, with a familiarity of cloud architecture and solid Dev Ops fundamentals.  

Our clients host across most of the public clouds, so exposure to at least two of these would be great. 

You will have real experience with cloud architecture and have the courage of your convictions to ensure that our developers deliver scalable robust architectures. 

You have leadership skills, either running a team or delivering projects and want to grow these skills. 

You will have a passion for DevOps, a positive can-do attitude, and ideally have; 

• 5+ years experience in a DevOps engineering role 
• Demonstrated experience of Python and Terraform 
• Hands-on experience with containers and orchestration, such as Docker and Kubernetes 
• Experience in Configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet etc. 
• Solid Service delivery experience (ITIL or similar) 
• Leadership of teams or projects 
• Solid documentation skills 
• Experience of CI/CD pipelines 
• Experience with version control (Git) and code repository/release management 
• Excellent Unix command line / shell script programming  
• Excellent written and oral English skills 

Bonuses would be; 

• Understanding of LLM mediated development patterns and/or exposure to ML/AI Ops 
• Developer skills or Operations experience 
• Experience with project management/work estimation 
• Experience in a Services or Vendor organisation 

As DevOps Lead, you will have the ability to apply your experience and lead and mentor a team of excellent software engineers. You will have a good working knowledge of core technologies and be able to develop solutions to meet a range of stakeholder requirements. You understand the importance of building and maintaining collaborative relationships with colleagues and across teams and working as a collective for the best utilisation of capabilities to deliver the “right” solution for our customers. 

We offer full-time permanent employment, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.
