Description

BRANCH MANAGER – HELP SHAPE WHAT’S NEXT FOR ITC IN HAMILTON

Hamilton | Full-time

AN OPPORTUNITY TO LEAD, BUILD AND GROW

We’re looking for a Branch Manager to lead our Hamilton team, build strong client relationships and grow the business.  Independent Traffic Control (ITC) provides traffic management services for roadworks, infrastructure projects and events across the North Island. Our teams help keep people and communities moving safely, with safety, teamwork and developing our people at the heart of what we do.

There’s plenty of opportunity ahead for our Hamilton branch. You’ll have the support of the wider ITC team and the scope to help shape its future through the people you develop, the relationships you build and the way you lead.

If you have leadership experience in traffic management or the wider construction industry and enjoy bringing a team together, this could be your next opportunity.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Reporting to our Head of Operations, you’ll take responsibility for the branch’s people, safety, service delivery and financial performance. You’ll be visible in the yard, out on sites and meeting with clients, staying connected to your team and their work.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading, coaching and developing your team, with clear expectations and a positive team culture
  • Overseeing workload and resources alongside the Crew Team Leader, who coordinates day-to-day scheduling
  • Building client relationships and identifying opportunities to grow the branch
  • Managing productivity, costs and branch financial performance
  • Supporting crews through regular site visits and reinforcing practical risk management and NZGTTM requirements
  • Working with our support teams on recruitment, training, performance and business initiatives
  • Ensuring fleet and equipment are available, maintained and used safely

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Leadership experience in traffic management or the wider construction industry
  • Traffic management experience or an understanding of traffic management operations and NZGTTM is preferred
  • An approachable leadership style, with experience coaching teams and managing performance
  • A practical approach to safety and the confidence to address concerns
  • Strong planning skills and commercial awareness
  • The ability to build client relationships and follow through on commitments
  • Clear communication, personal accountability and a willingness to get involved

If you’re joining us from another part of the construction industry, we’ll support you to build your traffic management knowledge.

WHAT ITC OFFERS

  • The opportunity to lead and shape the success of our Hamilton branch
  • Support from our Operations, People & Performance, Training and Safety teams
  • Training and leadership development opportunities
  • A supportive and inclusive team environment
  • Free Employee Assistance Programme (EAP)
