Junior Accountant        

Department: Finance and Accounting Department

Reports to: Financial Accountant    

Location: Auckland CBD

Responsibilities:

1. Reconcile and monitor daily accounting journals and month end general ledger;

2. Checking daily special events and internal accounts balance；

3. Maintain exchange rates on internal system；

4. Prepare internal financial reports and statistical statements as HO requirements;

5. Perform financial accounts booking and maintain accounting controls by complying with applicable policies, procedures and applicable accounting standards, prepare and check the authorisation together with supporting evidence adjusting accounting entries;

6. Completing other financial management and accounting activities apportioned to meet the requirements from Head of department and Financial Accountant;

7. Maintain and optimise the accounting system generally;

8. Adhere to the bank’s policies and procedures at all times； 

9. Other related tasks assigned by the Department.

Qualifications:

• Bcom (or higher) major in accounting, audit or finance, ideally in the process studying for CA, CPA and other related qualification;
• Good working knowledge and understanding of International accounting standards, preparation of accounting statements;
• High level of attention to detail, desire to probe, ask questions, resolve issues as they arise;
• Good written and verbal communication skills essential, fluency in both Mandarin and English are preferred;
• Deadline orientated, act with high level of professional integrity, maintaining confidentially;
• Team player, high level of accuracy and attention to details.
• Has eligibility to work in New Zealand.
