Description

Technical Support – South Island

Hydroflow is a trusted supplier to the plumbing, civil, and industrial sectors across New Zealand and Australia. We pride ourselves on delivering quality products, strong partnerships, and dependable service through a team that values integrity, initiative, and collaboration.

We’re looking for a technically minded, customer-focused individual to join our South Island team as a Technical Support. This is a varied, hands-on role where you’ll be the first point of contact for customer technical enquiries – troubleshooting issues, supporting product selection and installation guidance, and working closely with the Technical Lead on projects, documentation, and training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level technical support to customers via phone, email, and other channels
  • Assist customers with troubleshooting product issues and identifying appropriate solutions
  • Escalate complex technical issues to the Technical Lead when required
  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of Hydroflow’s products and services
  • Support product testing, evaluation, and quality assurance activities
  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of technical documentation and support materials
  • Record and track technical enquiries, issues, and resolutions accurately
  • Support customer onboarding, training, and product demonstrations
  • Assist with quotations, technical proposals, and supporting documentation
  • Maintain accurate customer and product records, and support warranty and stock administration
  • Assist with coordinating trade shows and industry events
  • Work collaboratively with the Technical Lead, sales team, and wider business
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in a customer service, technical support, service coordination, or administration role
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Good attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • A proactive, positive, and team-oriented attitude
  • Competent computer skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Full driver’s licence

Preferred but not essential:

  • Experience in a technical, engineering, plumbing, water treatment, HVAC, or related industry
  • Relevant industry experience

What We Offer

  • A varied role with real autonomy and a supportive team behind you
  • Professional development and growth opportunities within the company
  • Access to our Employee Assistance Platform, offering wellness resources, real-time support, and safety features for you and your immediate family

If you’re someone who enjoys solving problems, building customer relationships, and working across a technical and customer-facing space, we’d love to hear from you.

If you are interested in this role, please apply with your CV and cover letter. All applications will be treated with the strictest confidence.
