About the Role

We are seeking a commercially minded Sales Development Executive – Rate Management to support our sales and commercial teams across Australia and New Zealand. Reporting to the Sales Development Manager A/NZ, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive customer quotations, managing pricing requests, and supporting tender and RFP responses.

Working closely with Business Development, Key Account Management, Procurement, Operations, and external service providers, you will play a critical role in ensuring pricing competitiveness while maintaining target margins and service standards

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver accurate quotations for customer rate requests, tenders, RFPs, and spot pricing opportunities.
  • Execute established pricing and sales development processes.
  • Ensure all quotations are completed within agreed service levels and turnaround times.
  • Work closely with procurement and operational teams to obtain competitive supplier rates.
  • Analyse pricing opportunities and ensure quotations meet margin objectives.
  • Validate service requirements and cost components with relevant stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and sales activity data.
  • Utilise sales and commercial systems to track opportunities and customer interactions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve pricing, quoting, and sales development processes.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience in freight forwarding, logistics, supply chain, or commercial pricing.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • A process-driven approach with strong organisational skills.
  • Commercial awareness and an understanding of margin management.
  • The ability to collaborate effectively with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience working with CRM systems and sales technologies.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
