Exterior Cleaning Technician

Pay Rate: $25.00 – $32.00 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications)
Guaranteed Hours: Minimum 32 hours per week
About the Role
WashCo is looking for a reliable and motivated Building Wash Technician to join our team.
This is a hands-on outdoor role cleaning commercial buildings, windows, and exterior surfaces across the Dunedin and wider Otago region. No two days are the same. You’ll work as part of a supportive team using professional cleaning equipment and access systems to deliver high-quality results for our clients, including Dunedin City Council and the University of Otago. From iconic historical buildings to modern structures, we do it all.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Window cleaning of commercial buildings
- Exterior building washing and water blasting
- Gutter cleaning and exterior maintenance services
- Operating cleaning equipment safely and efficiently
- Setting up and packing down equipment
- Completing job documentation and safety checks
- Maintaining vehicles, tools, and equipment
- Providing professional customer service on-site
- Following company and site-specific Health & Safety requirements
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking, and enjoys working outdoors.
Experience in any of the following is an advantage but not essential:
- Window cleaning
- Building washing
- Exterior cleaning
- Water blasting
- Working at heights
- Outdoor physical work
You should also:
- Be physically fit and capable of manual outdoor work
- Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Take pride in producing quality work
- Be able to work safely as part of a team
- Have good communication skills
- Hold a Full NZ Driver Licence (advantageous but not essential)
- Be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and Ministry of Justice check
