Exterior Cleaning Technician

Location: Dunedin Company: Hawk Services Group, with our Dunedin team WashCo Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Pay Rate: $25.00 – $32.00 per hour (depending on experience and qualifications) Guaranteed Hours: Minimum 32 hours per week

About the Role

WashCo is looking for a reliable and motivated Building Wash Technician to join our team.

This is a hands-on outdoor role cleaning commercial buildings, windows, and exterior surfaces across the Dunedin and wider Otago region. No two days are the same. You’ll work as part of a supportive team using professional cleaning equipment and access systems to deliver high-quality results for our clients, including Dunedin City Council and the University of Otago. From iconic historical buildings to modern structures, we do it all.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Window cleaning of commercial buildings
  • Exterior building washing and water blasting
  • Gutter cleaning and exterior maintenance services
  • Operating cleaning equipment safely and efficiently
  • Setting up and packing down equipment
  • Completing job documentation and safety checks
  • Maintaining vehicles, tools, and equipment
  • Providing professional customer service on-site
  • Following company and site-specific Health & Safety requirements

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking, and enjoys working outdoors.

Experience in any of the following is an advantage but not essential:

  • Window cleaning
  • Building washing
  • Exterior cleaning
  • Water blasting
  • Working at heights
  • Outdoor physical work

You should also:

  • Be physically fit and capable of manual outdoor work
  • Have a positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Take pride in producing quality work
  • Be able to work safely as part of a team
  • Have good communication skills
  • Hold a Full NZ Driver Licence (advantageous but not essential)
  • Be able to pass a pre-employment drug test and Ministry of Justice check
