Position Title: Mid-Level Barista

Position Type: Permanent (Full-Time or Part-Time)

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Mid-Level Barista to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for consistently crafting high-quality specialty coffee, delivering warm customer service, and maintaining a smooth workflow during busy peak hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Dial in grinders daily and extract high-quality espresso to modern standards.
• Texture milk consistently and deliver clean latte art in a fast-paced setting.
• Process customer orders accurately using the POS system and handle cash/EFTPOS transactions.
• Maintain a clean, hygienic, and organized workstation, following food safety protocols.
• Assist with inventory, restocking shift supplies, and routine espresso machine maintenance/end-of-day cleaning.

Requirements

• 1 to 3 years of proven barista experience in a high-volume cafe or specialty coffee shop.
• Solid understanding of grind adjustments, extraction ratios, and milk texturing techniques.
• Strong multitasking skills and the ability to handle morning rushes calmly and efficiently.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Valid work rights to work permanently in New Zealand.
