About the Role:
Are you an experienced hospitality, food and beverage or park management professional looking for your next challenge? Do you thrive in dynamic environments where leadership, commercial thinking and exceptional guest experiences go hand in hand? We are seeking an energetic and hands-on Park Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of Wānaka Lakeview Holiday Park.
Alongside overseeing the park’s accommodation and guest operations, this role will have the exciting opportunity to support the introduction and ongoing management of a new food and beverage offering within the park. This will add another dimension to the guest experience and provides an opportunity for the successful candidate to help establish, develop and grow a new hospitality offering.
This is a live-on-site role, with accommodation and utilities included as part of the remuneration package. Weekend and after-hours work may be required to ensure smooth park operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Inspiration & Leadership: Lead by example and create a positive, high-performing team culture. Motivate and support your team to deliver exceptional service across all areas of the park.
- Guest Experience: Create a welcoming and memorable experience for guests from arrival through to departure, continually looking for opportunities to enhance their stay.
- Food & Beverage Operations: Support the establishment and day-to-day operation of the park’s new food and beverage offering, ensuring high standards of customer service, product quality, presentation, food safety and operational efficiency.
- Commercial Performance: Take a proactive approach to growing revenue across the park, including identifying opportunities within accommodation, guest services and food and beverage.
- Operations & Compliance: Oversee daily operations and ensure compliance with health, safety, food safety and environmental requirements while maintaining a clean, safe and well-presented park.
- Maximise Occupancy: Effectively manage bookings and inventory to optimise occupancy and revenue while adhering to company booking policies.
- Financial Management: Manage budgets, labour costs, rosters, purchasing and stock levels with a strong focus on operational and commercial performance.
- Stock & Supplier Management: Maintain appropriate stock levels, minimise wastage and develop effective relationships with suppliers across park and hospitality operations.
- Sustainability Initiatives: Drive practical sustainability initiatives, including effective waste management and recycling practices.

We are looking for a commercially minded, hands-on leader who genuinely enjoys hospitality and creating great guest experiences. You will ideally bring:
- Previous leadership experience within hospitality, food and beverage, tourism, accommodation or holiday park operations
- Strong people leadership skills and the ability to build, motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Confidence overseeing a busy operation with multiple revenue streams and competing priorities.
- An understanding of food and beverage operations, including customer service, stock control, food safety, wastage, rostering and cost management.
- Strong commercial awareness and an interest in developing and growing new guest experiences and revenue opportunities.
- Experience with booking systems, compliance, rostering, budgeting and stock management.
