We’re looking for a friendly, reliable, and hands-on ReStore Assistant to join our Te Rapa team. This is a varied role where you’ll help create a positive experience for customers and donors while supporting the daily operation of our busy community retail store.

About the Role

As a ReStore Assistant, you’ll be involved in a range of activities including:

• Providing excellent customer service to shoppers and donors
• Operating the till and processing sales transactions
• Receiving, sorting, pricing, and displaying donated goods
• Assisting with stock handling, merchandising, and store presentation
• Supporting a clean, safe, and welcoming store environment
• Working alongside and supporting our valued volunteers
• Helping maximise the value of donations to support Habitat for Humanity’s mission

About You

We’re looking for someone who:

• Enjoys working with people and providing great customer service
• Has a positive attitude and a strong work ethic
• Is reliable, organised, and willing to get stuck in
• Is physically capable of undertaking manual handling tasks and lifting donated goods
• Is comfortable using basic computer systems
• Works well as part of a team

Previous experience in retail, customer service, hospitality, warehousing, logistics, or working with volunteers is an advantage, but not essential.

• Location: Te Rapa ReStore, Hamilton
• Hours: 17 hours per week
• Roster: Monday 10:00am-4:15pm, Wednesday 10:00am-4:00pm, Saturday 9:00am-3:00pm
• Employment Type: Permanent Part-Time
• Pay Rate: $29.22 per hour
