ReStore Assistant / Driver

Part-Time | 10 Hours per Week | New Plymouth ReStore $29.22 per hour

Habitat for Humanity Central Region is seeking a friendly and reliable ReStore Assistant / Driver to support the day-to-day operation of our New Plymouth ReStore. This hands-on role combines customer service, retail support, stock handling, and deliveries, helping us turn donated goods into funding for local housing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to shoppers and donors
• Operate the till and process sales transactions
• Receive, sort, price, and display donated goods
• Assist with deliveries and collections
• Safely load and unload furniture and other items
• Support store presentation and stock management
• Work alongside and support volunteers
• Follow Health & Safety requirements and safe work practices

About You

You will have:

• A positive, customer-focused attitude
• A full, clean NZ Driver Licence
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Basic computer skills
• The ability to undertake physical work, including lifting furniture
• Reliability and a willingness to help where needed

Retail, delivery, warehousing, or volunteer experience is an advantage but not essential.
