The Role

Whether you’re ready to start your engineering career now or are graduating later this year, we’d love to hear from you. We have two Graduate Engineer positions available: one commencing immediately and another commencing in early 2027.

Embark on your journey into the fascinating world of overhead lines engineering! As a Graduate Engineer, you’ll bridge the gap between academic theory and the practical challenges of transmission line systems. Picture yourself as a pioneering problem-solver, learning the ropes of transmission design and construction.

Your mission: absorb knowledge, contribute to impactful projects, and grow into a vital member of the consultancy team!

You’ll gain exposure to:

  • High voltage transmission and sub-transmission line design
  • Engineering analysis and modelling through 3D modelling platforms
  • Construction and field activities
  • Project delivery processes
  • Client and stakeholder engagement
  • Health, safety, environmental and quality systems and quality systems

You’ll receive guidance, mentoring and training to help you transition from university into professional practice while building a strong technical foundation.

Experience & Attributes

  • Engineering Degree – Civil, Structural or Mechanical or similar. (Essential)
  • Basic understanding of engineering principles. (Essential)
  • Previous internship or consultancy experience in utilities, energy, or infrastructure. (Preferred)
  • Experience using 2D and 3D CAD packages. (Preferred)

This opportunity is based in our founding Christchurch office, plus we have a presence in in the UK, Australia and the USA. Our working spaces are ones you’ll love….there’s not many places where you get to collaborate with colleagues over a quick game of darts whilst sipping a coffee from our onsite coffee machine.
