About the role:

 

  • Permanent Full-time – Minimum of 30 hours a week (including weekends and public holidays as rostered)
  • Location: Gibbston Valley Wines – Otago, Gibbston
  • $29.00 to $32.00 depending on the experience

 

We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to step into a Front of House Supervisor role. Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, with multiple dining outlets on our property, no two days are the same – you’ll be assisting with the leading a vibrant FOH team, setting the tone for outstanding guest service, ensuring seamless daily operations and supporting on-site events.

Your responsibilities will include:

 

  • Leading, training and coaching FOH staff
  • Overseeing reservations, functions and POS systems
  • Maintaining high standards of service and presentation
  • Managing stock, compliance and cash handling
  • Driving continuous improvement across outlets

 About you:

 

  • Solid hospitality experience with proven leadership capability (or the readiness to step into a leadership space).
  • An NZQF Diploma or at least three years of relevant hospitality experience is preferred.
  • Coaching experience is a distinct advantage, as training staff is an ongoing requirement.
  • Current LCQ or a commitment to obtain it within the first month.
  • Strong communication skills, excellent multitasking ability, and a passion for our food and wine experiences.
  • A positive, energetic approach with a passion for people
  • Organisational skills and ability to multitask across venues
  • Eligibility of work in New Zealand without any restrictions.
  • A reliable method transport since we’re located about 25 mins from Queenstown CBD
