Our Bike Rental Centre gives visitors the opportunity to explore this stunning region on two wheels, and we are looking for a friendly, knowledgeable person to help bring that experience to life.

About the role:

  • Seasonal full-time – October to May
  • Location: Gibbston Valley Wines – Gibbston, Otago
  • $28.00 to $32.00 depending on the experience

We are looking for a Driver and Bike Centre Assistant to join our team. If you are customer-focused, enjoy sharing your local knowledge, and love helping visitors make the most of their experience at Gibbston Valley and our bike hire facility, we would love to hear from you. As a Bike Centre Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring our customers have an unforgettable biking experience. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Driving our 11-seater shuttle between Gibbston Valley and Queenstown
  • Create a friendly informative travel experience for guests
  • Handling bookings, phone enquiries, and emails
  • Coordinating guest pick-ups and drop-offs in the local area
  • Greeting and assisting customers to ensure they feel prepared and confident for their biking adventure
  • Providing expert advice on bike selection, safety, and local trails
  • Delivering safety briefings and basic bike instruction
  • Assisting with the maintenance of the bike fleet, including daily cleaning and general upkeep
  • Working in a friendly, social, and team-oriented environment

About you:

  • Enjoys engaging with people and delivering outstanding customer service
  • Reliable, well-organised, and confident working independently
  • Delivering safety briefings and basic bicycle instruction.
  • Has mechanical knowledge and an interest in cycling
  • Is available to work weekends and public holidays
  • Full NZ driver licence with Passenger (P) endorsement
  • Willing to undergo pre-employment and ongoing drug and alcohol testing
  • Eligibility of work in New Zealand without any restrictions.
  • A reliable method transport since we’re located about 25 mins from Queenstown CBD
