Role Type
Description
Garage Project is a brewery based in Wellington, NZ, known for making unique and beautiful beers. We’re a fun-loving, dedicated and hardworking crew who aspire to be leaders, never followers, in our industry. We’ve grown from humble beginnings into a team of 65+ across New Zealand and Australia, and we have some exciting adventures ahead.
We have a fantastic opportunity for up to two Warehouse & Distribution Operators to join our team in Seaview, Lower Hutt.
About the role
These are hands-on roles in a fast-paced distribution operation. You’ll work across every aspect of the warehouse – inward receipting, picking and dispatch, truck loading, inventory control, export freight, and transfers between our sites. Responsibilities are shared and rotated across the team, so everyone contributes across the operation.
Success in this role comes from being curious, adaptable, and willing to learn every aspect of the operation. If you enjoy solving problems, taking responsibility, and being part of a close-knit team, you’ll fit right in.
Our warehouse is based in Seaview, Lower Hutt. Logistics have an early start to prep orders for the day, so expect to be starting work from 7-730am, finishing around 3.30-4pm. This is a physical role which requires heavy lifting, being on your feedback and working in our chilled space.
What you’ll bring:
- Previous warehouse or distribution experience is desired but we are open to hearing from you if you’d like to learn!
- Strong computer skills and confidence learning new systems (we use CIN7, Monday.com, and a few others)
- A proactive, positive attitude and genuine attention to detail (you’ll be sorting a lot of orders daily)
- A willingness to take ownership, solve problems, and figure things out rather than waiting to be told what to do
- A current forklift licence or class 2 driver licence, or willingness to obtain one, is highly desirable
Why Garage Project?
At GP, we work hard, play hard, and we love what we do. Our vibe is fast-paced, creative, and a little bit chaotic (in the best way). You’ll get great perks including beers and merch, plus ongoing training to level up your skills. We value contribution across all roles and invite everyone to bring their whole selves to work. We’re a Living Wage employer, Pride Pledge participants and a Net Zero Carbon organisation.
If you’re looking for a role with variety, responsibility, and room to grow, we’d love to hear from you.
How to apply Please apply with your CV and a cover letter that explains why you are the perfect fit for this role. Bonus points if you include your top three Garage Project beers and why you love them!
Applications close 28 October but don’t delay – we’ll be reviewing applications as they come in. If you have any questions about the role, please contact ashika@garageproject.co.nz
