Garage Project is a Wellington-based brewery known for making unique and beautiful beers. We’re a team of fun-loving, dedicated and hardworking crew who aspire to be leaders, never followers, in our industry. We’ve grown from humble beginnings to a team of 65+ across NZ and Australia, and we’ve got some exciting adventures ahead.

We are looking for a kitchen hand to join our venues team. This is a part-time role, generally three-four days a week (including weekends) on short shifts during our peak service times.

About the role

Into food? We’d love to hear from you. You don’t need to be an expert. Let’s be honest though, this role starts out mostly in the dish pit, so you’ll need to be cool with that but we’re looking to grow your skills and help us with food prep and other kitchen tasks. 

• Dishwashing Hero: keeping the kitchen spaces moving with a steady supply of clean dishes, glasses and gear.
• Prep Sidekick: helping out with food prep and supporting service as needed.
• Clean Machine: keeping the kitchen and venue space clean.

About you

We’re looking for people with previous hospo experience and an interest in beer (or keen to learn).

You’ll be happy to have a yarn and bring the good vibes. It’s a busy prep space and a tight team, so a willingness to pitch in and keep things fun goes a long way.

You’ll be happy to work shifts on a roster and comfortable in a busy, hands-on environment. What we care about most is that you’re reliable, enthusiastic and keen to be part of a great team.
