About the role
We’re looking for a hands-on, forward-thinking Network Practice Lead who is a strong practitioner at heart, someone who can actively design, build, and shape network technologies while taking ownership of our network domain and helping define the future of Fusion’s technology
landscape.
This is more than just a technical leadership role — it’s an opportunity to be both a hands-on technical authority and a thought leader for Fusion and our customers. You’ll influence strategy at an executive level, guide customer technology decisions, and drive meaningful improvements across
architecture, delivery, and operations.
What you’ll be doing
In this role, you’ll sit at the heart of our network
capability, leading both strategy and execution. You’ll be:
- Owning the network technology strategy, architecture, and roadmap, ensuring
alignment with business goals and customer needs
- Acting as the design authority for network changes, providing governance,
standards, and architectural direction
- ·Remaining hands-on in the design, build, and evolution of network technologies across customer and Fusion environments
- Driving excellence across delivery and operations, ensuring networks are secure, scalable, and reliable
- Establishing and improving standards, patterns, and processes to create consistent,
repeatable services
- Overseeing lifecycle management, including upgrades, capacity planning, and technical risk management
- Working closely with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to solve complex challenges and deliver great outcomes
- ·Providing thought leadership that influences executive stakeholders, customers, and internal teams on network strategy and technology direction
- Championing automation, tooling, and continuous improvement to enhance efficiency and reduce manual effort
What we’re looking for
We’re after someone who brings deep technical expertise, remains credible as a hands-on practitioner, and has the presence to lead, influence, and shape thinking with executives and customers.
You’ll bring:
- Extensive experience in network architecture within an MSP or multi-customer environment
- Strong hands-on capability designing, building and troubleshooting WAN/MPLS, routing, switching, firewalls, and network security platforms
- Proven leadership experience across network operations and project delivery
- The ability to define architecture standards and translate them into practical, scalable solutions
- ·Confidence working with executives, senior stakeholders, customers, and vendors, with the ability to influence direction, build trust, and make sound technical decisions
- A strategic mindset, with experience managing roadmaps, lifecycle planning, and continuous improvement
- Experience with modern network tooling, automation, and observability practices
