Summary:

We are seeking expressions of interest for experienced housekeeping staff to join our team for the season, with roles commencing in October & November – with our contracts being offered for a minimum of 4 months.

We are 90minutes from Christchurch with staff accommodation on site or near by.

These fixed term, seasonal roles play a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and overall presentation of our Lodge, ensuring a welcoming environment for our guests. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic and attention to detail, contributing to the high standards of service that our guests expect.

Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
• Change bed linens, towels, and other amenities as required.
• Restock supplies in guest rooms and common areas, ensuring all items are available for guests.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the supervisor promptly.
• Assist with laundry duties as needed, including washing, drying, and folding linens.
• Ensure all cleaning equipment and supplies are used and stored safely and correctly.
• Provide excellent customer service by responding to guest requests and inquiries in a friendly manner.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a housekeeping or cleaning role is required
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties and lift heavy items as required.
• Excellent communication skills and a friendly disposition.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
