Mō tēnei tūranga | About the Role

As Chef de Partie, you’ll take ownership of your section—preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes to the highest standard. You’ll support junior chefs, maintain kitchen organisation, and uphold Flockhill’s standards of quality and consistency. You’ll also have the opportunity to contribute ideas for seasonal menus and guest experiences that showcase your creativity and technical skill.

  • Prepare, cook, and plate dishes to the standard set by the Executive and Sous Chefs
  • Maintain quality, portion, and presentation standards across your section
  • Assist with daily mise en place, stock rotation, and inventory management
  • Support and mentor junior Chefs and kitchen hands
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards
  • Communicate clearly and effectively within the kitchen and across departments
  • Contribute ideas for menu development using seasonal, local produce
  • Uphold a clean, organised, and efficient workstation at all times
