Are you a passionate Bartender with a flair for creativity and a love for crafting exceptional guest experiences? Sugarloaf, is Flockhill Lodges fine dining restaurant and we are on the hunt for experienced Bar team members to join our team for the remainder of our summer season.  

We’re looking for poeple confident and passionate about experimenting with flavours and ingredients, utilising produce from our production garden and foraged from the property to help create a unique alcoholic and non- alcoholic beverage menu.  Creating seasonal menus and with the ability to pair beverages alongside the Chefs evening dishes. 

About Us:  Flockhill is a 90 minute drive from Christchurch and is in the stunning Craigieburn Valley with staff accommodation available

As our Mixologist at Sugarloaf, you will play a key role in shaping our bar program, creating unforgettable moments for our guests through your skill and passion for mixology. 

What You’ll Do: 

  • Craft Innovative Cocktails: Develop and serve a range of unique and classic cocktails that reflect the essence of Sugarloaf and delight our discerning guests. 
  • Elevate Guest Experience: Provide personalized service, engage with guests, and share your knowledge of cocktails, spirits, and the art of mixology. 
  • Collaborate on Menu Development: Work closely with the Food & Beverage Manager and culinary team to create seasonal beverage menus that complement our fine dining offerings. 

What We’re Looking For: 

  • Experience: Minimum 2-3 years experience with making cocktails 
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of spirits, wines, and cocktail crafting techniques. Creativity and a passion for exploring new trends in mixology. 
  • Attributes: Excellent communication skills, a customer-focused attitude, and a desire to create memorable guest experiences. 
  • Certification: LCQ and General Managers certificate advantageous
